Welcome to this course of African History since 1800, that is the foundation for all the different History courses taught at university. It is a course that analyses all major events in Africa since the Late Stone or the complete evolution process. Focus is mainly on all the historical events on the African continent that have shaped Africa today in the post-independence. The major historical events are arranged in a historical order, also known as chronological (from the earliest events to the most recent ones).

Christian nurture and discipleship are pivotal to Thornycroft Chapel Kyaggwe (TCK) Cell Ministries. Within Uganda Christian University, and her immediate community, TCK Cell Ministries have constituted various Cell groups. Each Cell group has a host, venue, day and time allotted for their meeting. These TCK Cell meetings are determined by geographical location and affinity of members therein. Each Cell group is encouraged to reach out, within their neighbourhood, and areas of influence, as well as to offer witness of the gospel through practical Christian living. TCK Cell meetings are an extension of weekly topical conversations, drawn from Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday teachings/preachings in a given week. These ideas are framed into discussion questions to aid conversation, that is anchored on scripture. The same trains in memorisation of scripture, and personal devotion guide through a psalm. A s such, a participant is able to reflect, thoughtfully on the week’s topic, draw from life experiences, share testimonies and prayer points within the fellowship. Every week Cell material has an ice breaker and points to ponder, along with a Psalm to study.
