COURSE DESCRIPTION;

The present course of study seeks to enlighten the student on the various provisions of the Uganda Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 2017 and its application to daily commercial transactions involving the transfer of property in the goods as well as other kinds of transactions related to the sale of goods and agency.

Course Objectives

At the completion of the course, through interactive lectures, discussions, presentations, and research, the student should be able to:

• Develop and understand the origins of Uganda’s law of sales and the related transactions i.e. the law of agency;

• Understand the fundamental principles of the law of sales and agency etc.

Solid State Physics-(BED (Secondary)(Math/Physics)-2)

Solid State physics emerged as a discipline in the 1940s with developments such as the such as the semiconductor transistor, and now forms a sub-discipline of the biggest field in physics, condensed matter.

Solid state physics is a very diverse field which spans quantum physics, electromagnetism, and statistical and thermal physics. There is also overlap and application to many fields, including chemistry, medicine, biology, computing, materials science, and electrical engineering.

Because 3D solids are composed of ~ \( 10^{23} \) atoms, and real solids incorporate many local defects, much of solid state physics consists of learning to construct appropriate models and approximations.
